Farmers were trained regarding the advantages of cultivating medicinal plants suitable to the climatic conditions. They were further introduced to marketing strategies, points of sale, preservation and extraction methods and the advantages over the conventional farming of crops. Many farmers started cultivating medicinal plants in parcels of land in addition to other high yielding crops which resulted in higher realization for their products compared to the conventional way of farming.
