Unfortunately, the advantages of Biotechnology in agriculture have not percolated down to the real beneficiaries i.e. the farmers of our country. The research and the application both remained in the confined four walls of the laboratory and a matter of interaction among the researchers and in scientific publications where farmers have no access.
We strongly feel that unless the advantages in research results reach the masses, there is no use of the advancement in Science and Technology. So, we felt it necessary to introduce the farmers to the advantages of tissue culture. One of the major problems faced by farmers is the unavailability of quality saplings that are disease-free and pest resistant. In addition to using conventional methods, the quantity and quality of seedlings and saplings have always remained an issue with conventional farmers.
After an introduction to tissue culture and the availability of different saplings at an affordable cost, farming has become easier for the cultivators. The availability of products throughout the year without the effects of seasonal changes has enabled the farmers to continue with cultivation throughout the year without wasting their land and valuable time.
