Many farmers were continuously cultivating only traditional crops and under the misconception that any change made will change their fortunes. Even superstitions regarding conventional farming were prevalent in certain farming communities.

We could run a successful campaign regarding high yield crops using experts and with the help of farmers who already started cultivating high yielding crops as mentors. Many had a myth that high yield crops are genetically manipulated and are not good for either farming or for consumption. As a result of training, farmers have become aware of the advantages of cultivating high yield crops which is economically viable and resistant to many types of pests and insecticides.
